I am trying to listen to Live365 internet radio through Windows Media Center. I try to go to Music and select Radio but it tells me “To play FM radio you must first install a radio tuner”. I can’t figure out how to get to internet radio. I have Windows 7 and I think the version of Media Center I have is 6.1.760.16385; I can’t remember how to find out which version I have for sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

This is the way I access internet radio with Win Media Player.
Click on Win Media Player
Click on Media Guide (bottom left corner)
In Win Media Guide you will see a selection in the banner for "Internet Radio"
Click Internet Radio
You will now have to make a selection as to what station to listen to.

Thank you both for your reply. I'm trying to listen specifically to Live365 stations but I don't know if it's possible with a free account at Live365.

Update, I just found out that Live365 doesn't let users with a free account listen to the stations outside of a web browser.

Just to be clear, the "Radio" on Windows Media Center requires you to have a radio tuner which is a hardware with an antenna that receives FM radio signals. So the "Radio" on Windows Media Center is an FM radio for local FM radio stations in your area, not Internet radio. I have a radio/TV tuner that makes me listen to local FM radio stations in our area as well as watch live TV from our cable TV connection. Like what the others said, you can listen to online radio stations from Windows Media Player.

Thank you for your reply. I downloaded it and installed it. How do I tell if the Live365 stations broadcast in the format that this plug in allows? I know how to get to the internet radio section of WMP but I don't know to get to the Live365 stations (or if it's even possible since only users with paid accounts are able to listen via a third party player). I searched for Live365 but it didn't come with anything but Live365 isn't just one station. There are many to pick from. Any ideas? Thanks.

Help and Support Wiki - Live365 Internet Radio

The above link talks about having a VIP account to have access to other players, e.g. WMP, Winamp.
Shoutcast gives you access to many of the same stations, maybe at a lower quality, but for free.
Winamp is also a good player for Shoutcast streams and gives you the ability to bookmark the stations.
You can just access the stations from Winamp, without having to open any browsers.

Support for Live365 within the newer versions of WMP or WMC may be kinda hit or miss for Windows 7, so you may want to Google for solutions. I do recall tuning into Live365 with Vista or XP, but that option doesn't seem to be available in Windows 7.
