To begin with "Hi" my name is KIK, this is my first day on your forum.

Recently when I run a scan to detect malicious items I have been getting reports in the log of;
Pup Install Brain. I keep removing them, but could someone explain what this file is?

Is it dangerous for my computer and if I disable the Atheros Driver would this stop it from occurring again? I though that maybe without a wireless driver it would make it harder for someone to access my IP Address and information.

I am not that program savvy, but can follow instructions.

Could someone please help me out with this. :o

Thanks Dave;
Removing them is easy, thanks for the links, I've bookmarked that page. :)

Yet I really wanted to know what sort of a file it is and what it does? Especially when the IP Address seems to be dodgy 0000....?

Regards
Kikkja

Hi KIK,

I think your meaning what program is causing this problem? not sure what you mean?
As for your IP address seems dodgy...its more likely to be that your browser has been hijacked, this PUP will keep on coming back until you remove it correctly, then your (IP) browser will be fine.

cheers

Dave

Hi KIK, and Welcome to the Seven Forums. . .:thumbsup:
If you do not have a Malware app then go to Google and type in "Malware Bytes" then download and run. This will help you to fine out if there are some nasty little malware files running loose in your OS.
