Solved Please HELP LOOSING MY MIND

No, you normally do not need to anything with the RAM once it is properly installed and recognized by the BIOS. The OS reads the info from the BIOS and goes with it.

Try this first:

• Go into your BIOS Settings and make note of any settings you made yourself or would want to keep (for example, if you installed W7 in AHCI mode you will want to be sure you reset that mode).
• Then go to the EXIT menu > find the choice for "Restore BIOS Default" or similar > select it and hit ENTER > Save and exit BIOS.
• The computer will reboot > go immediately back into the BIOS Settings > make your desired changes > Save & Exit BIOS
• The computer will reboot > let it go into Windows and test.

If that does not clear it up we could then try a CLR CMOS procedure.

All this is doing is resetting the BIOS fresh, in case there is some residual errata from the changes made. None of this is the same, or as risky, as "flashing" a BIOS.

Hey just checked my bios and i noticed that under the tab DRAM Voltage (V) it was set to AUTO and the vales were Auto : 1.630V Min : 0.978V and Max : 1.898V . My memory sticks are 1.5 volts , so is this the cause of my problem? Do i need to change it from Auto to just 1.5v?

It could be. Can't hurt to test that. Just be sure to note all other settings in case you need to reset or compare.

Tip: I use a digital camera to take photos of the BIOS screens. A lot easier than writing!

Edit: You might want to try the Restore Defaults first and see if that changes anything.

I've often wondered how the BIOS settings were posted online, thanks for the tip.

a friend of mine suggested i check the temp of my computer and sure enough my computer is way hotter then its supposed to be. Which means the heatsink probably needs more thermal paste . Which is probably why the processor is acting up making my computer slower. I'm just going to RMA the whole PC since I dont think i want to try to apply thermal paste myself. Thanks for your suggestions though!
