Confirm HD failed the Long test.

Were there any repairs offered or completed? If so, run the long test again as it might be repaired.

If repaired, run chkdsk /r from booted Win7 DVD Repair console Command Line - press Shift F10 at first screen. This tests the file system.

If not, back up your data and replace your HD.

If you want a second opinion, boot GWScan which also works on most HD makes: GWSCAN 5.12 File unzips to C:cabs where you will find ISO to burn.

i made a recovery disk using a program called " vaio recovery center "
and i'm making an image backup using
"macrium reflect"
and i'm doing the tests know ....

1-Be sure to boot the Recovery Disk to make sure it works and see what options it gives you.

2-Also make the Macrium boot disk so you can use your Macrium image if needed. Go ahead and boot the CD to make sure it finds the saved image and cues it up for reimaging.

3-Let us know how the memory and hard drive tests go.

Before you wipe the HD to try clean install again, make sure you have the latest BIOS version by checking for updates on Vaio Support Downloads webpage for your model.

4-Also check in BIOS setup to see what your SATA controller setting is. Try AHCI first, then IDE if necessary.

This time use the drivers given by the Win7 installer and offered by optional Windows Updates. Any drivers then missing can be found on Vaio Downloads page for your model.

If the problems persist after clean reinstall we will help you troubleshoot them in Event logs or in our expert Crashes and Debugging forum.
i did # 1 and it works
#2 and it works
#3 and the result was failed
#4 how do i find the bios ?

1- confirmed
2- no
3- there is a big chance that i can change it for free but i need your help with that, i have a warranty on my hardware, but in order to change it for free they need to be 100% sure that there is a problem with the hard disk , and they will say this " we will reinstall the windows and if the windows was installed correctly then there is nothing wrong with your HD" so what i should say to them to prove that there is wrong with the HD ? otherwise they will let me pay for changing the HD and i think that it's expensive :p

Did you get an error code? I recently got my old Fujitsu HDD replaced via warranty and all i needed was the error code Fujitsu diagnostics gave me. The HDD still worked for the most part, other than occasional BSOD and making weird noises. I talked to Dell one time and they said they couldn't do anything until the drive was completely unusable. I talked to them a second time and provided the error code. The new HDD was on my front porch in a couple days. Sony might be different, but the error code should be all you need.

Run the full test again and get exact error messages and codes. Call your Tech Support and give this information to them.

Sometimes they require you to have the licensed OS on there when you ship it back under warranty. If so, back up your files and run the Recovery disks or Recovery partition to restore the machine to factory condition, then ship it back. Or maybe they will let you return just the HD if they can verify it is bad.

I would also run GWScan to verify that HD is bad and that there are no repairs available to run.

this is a print screen for the seatools test HERE ( where can i find the error code ? )
a print screen for a vaio program called vaio hardware diagnoses and the test in this program showes that there is nothing wrong with my HD ! HERE
and i also did all these tests and i pessed them all successfully .. HERE
and i did the GWScan the result was ( failed ) and the error code was 0225
and it said that the failing reason was because of ( too many errors )
so now what , which program do i trust and what should i do ?

Did you run chkdsk /r from Win7 CMD, or the Win7 Repair CD or Install DVD Repair console Command Line?

Type CMD in start search, rightclick result to Run As Adminstrator, type chdsk /r, schedule for next restart, restart. Or from disk, press Shift F10 at first screen, open Command Line to type chkdsk /r

After chkdsk you can sort that and the HD diag test results with your tech support since the Vaio tests are clean but other two fail. Or you can proceed with steps to wipe the HD to get the cleanest possible reinstall:

Be sure to boot the Recovery Disk to make sure it works and see what options it gives you.

Also make the Macrium boot disk so you can use your Macrium image if needed. Go ahead and boot the CD to make sure it finds the saved image and cues it up for reimaging.

Let us know how the memory tests go.

Before you wipe the HD to try clean install again, make sure you have the latest BIOS version by checking for updates on Vaio Support Downloads webpage for your model.

"Did you run chkdsk /r from Windows 7 CMD, or the Windows 7 Repair CD or Install DVD Repair console Command Line? " sorry but i didn't understand that
and i tried to type chkdsk /r in the cmd but it tells me that it's not recognized ...

wiping the HD is like formatting it ?
and if i wiped my HD would it be as good as new ?
would it be better to just change the HD ?
bacause now , i don't really care about my programs and drivers
i'm ready to reinstall them all over again !
but i just want a perfect windows 7 :S

I see your fujitsu drive is what failed. Try the Fujitsu Diagnostics. It will give you the error code you need. Let the test run to completion. It might take over an hour and I suggest you stay near the computer or check it every 10-15 minutes while the test is running.

EDIT: If your having the problem I did, reformatting only makes the problem worse. You put stress on the drive will formatting and a failing hard drive will only fall into further decay. Also, I know the link says Toshiba. They purchased the part of Fujitsu that made hard drives.

There was no mention that it is a Fujitsu HD. Fujitsu is listed in the bootable HD diagnostics link in post #3. I guess you were looking for Sony rather than the make of the HD.

He posted a link to a screen shot of his seatools result. It showed a Fujitsu mhy2250bh that had failed the test. The link is within post #28

Contact you OEM. I got the same result and Dell was quick about sending me a new hard drive. I don't know how quick Sony is, but if they know what they are doing, they will go ahead and replace it.

If you got that error code, it needs to be changed. At least HDD disk that aren't too large are dirt cheap right now. If the don't replace it invest in a new one. If you live in the USA, Newegg has 250GB hard drives starting at $45, but I recommend getting one a little more expensive then that.
