Solved Port forwarding not working...

That's because you still have the Wire from the Modem going to the Internet/WAN port of the Nergear. You have to disconnect it from that port and use one of the LAN port on the netgear.

Ok this is the way to set it up. From a post I made week or so ago.

Connect the new netgear to one PC without any other network connection, just that one PC and the NG router. From Lan port on PC to LAN port on router (Do not use the Internet (WAN) Port on the router).
Open a Web browser and type in 192.168.1.1, username is admin and password is password. Once you have the router setup pages displayed go into the Advanced section and then Advanced Setup. In the Wireless setup Uncheck "Enable Routers Pin" and put a check in "Keep Existing Wireless Setting and click Apply. Then close that area and go to the Setup area in that same list on the left then Wireless Setup. Enable SSID, Type in a Name for your wireless network and then select WPA2-PSK (AES) as the security. Then type in a Password you want to use and then "WRITE IT DOWN" then click Apply.
Once you have that done go to the LAN setup section, same list. For the IP address of the router type in 192.168.1.253 (that will make sure the NG router is out of the ATT router LAN DHCP pool). Then Uncheck "Use Router as DHCP Server and again click Apply. At this point you may lose the connection with the router and you may have to set a Static IP on the computer to something like 192.168.1.(from 1 to 252). Then you will need to type in the new router IP address, 192.168.1.253, and log back in to it. Now go to the Advanced section again and then to Administration and change the routers password, AND WRITE IT DOWN. You will then need to log back in. Once that is all done connect from the ATT router LAN port to a LAN port on the NG router (Do Not Use the WAN/Internet port on the NG). you will need to reset the PC you were using to Obtain IP auto and reconnect that PC back to your home LAN.

That should do it. All wireless devices should now see the SSID you set and all you have to do is type in the wireless password to connect.

Sorry i was under the impression that he had 2 routers.

He does. That is his problem. Hopefully if he follows my last post he can set the netgear as a Switch with Access Point and let the Cable Modem/Router combo box do all the DHCP IP assigning and then he'll need to forward the correct port to the camera IP (Which may be different then it was) in the Modem/router combo box to get to his camera from over the internet.

Good deal. Your instructions are solid, but doesn't he need to disable dhcp on the router with wireless? I'm not exactly sure what the router pin is for the device.

Actually both of his boxes have Wireless. No need to disable either as long as each has its own SSID name.

I have a Linksys WRT54G, which has Wifi (if you didn't know), sitting right next to my notebook at work and the WRT is connected to the work LAN in the same way I detailed above. The main work Modem/Router also has WiFi. I can connect to either at any time as each has a different SSID. The main modem/router does all DHCP and the WRT is setup as just a Switch with Access point (WiFi).

As for this PIN stuff I don't care for that. I do all my setup manually. Not a problem for me and it makes troubleshooting much easier.

wouldn't that put each device connected to a different wireless ssid on a separate network though?

No not at all. The Wireless is just a connection point, like a Ethernet port. The same DHCP server is handing out the IPs to all devices, whther connected by Ethernet or wirelessly, in the same range, from the same Pool.

DHCP only brings trouble to me. how do i make all my devices work once DHCP is disabled?
Ive done all your steps exept i keep on turning DHCP back on because my devices keep going nuts.

Edit: manually made the router back to 192.168.1.1 again. 192.168.1.253 made none of my devices capable of accessing the web even for a short time.
I also cant access the router anymore all together.
Plugging in a lan cable didnt work. 192.168.1.253 doesnt exist anymore.
Im getting so tired and crazy. Why wont it just freaking work:(

Just for the finishing touch ive reset the router to factory settings. Nothing could access it anymore.

Have you STOPPED using the Internet/WAN port on the netgear? Run the cable from the Modem to one of the LAN ports, any of them not listed as Internet or WAN.

Connect one PC to the modem and log on to it and make sure it has the DHCP server turned on. If it does connect from the modem port to ANY of the port on the netgear other then the Internet/WAN port. Then Reboot all computers and other devices.

What settings do we need to edit for the lan cable to work through a lan port. We tried disconnecting the lan cable from internet port and plugging it into a lan port. It failed...we cant connect to the wifi and internet.
(On modem there are only 4 exitting lan ports, not something that says internet or something) so it exits the modem on lan 1. Then to the internet port of the netgear...it wont work on the lan...then the netgear's led of "no internet" also blinks.

Dhcp on the modem is online.

EDIT: ive turned on the wifi of the ubee modem/router. trying to the camera working through that modem so avoiding the netgear. I connected the ubee to the camera successfully, but i still cant access it through the WAN IP:97 - time out.

This is the way i would do this you do need a Lan to Lan port connection but first we need to check some things on the Ubee modem.

First open a webrowser and navigate to the Ubee's ip address 192.168.1.1 or similar login with credentials.

Click on Wireless and make a note of the following:

SSID
Wireless Mode: mixed mode b/g/n or b/g whichever is set
Encryption level i.e WPA2 AES is best.
Network Key

Click on gateway and then DHCP server set the DHCP starting address to 192.168.1.3 click on apply and re-boot if neccesary.

Log out of Ubee modem/router.

Do a reset on netgear router by using an opened paperclip and insert into small hole on back of netgear and press and hold for between 10 to 20 seconds until all lights light up indicating netgear has reset.

Then please connect an ethernet cable from the ethernet port on your computer and the other end to one of the Lan ports on the netgear router.

Navigate using your browser to the netgear ip address and login with credentials.

Go to wireless settings and set the following which you noted down from the Ubee wireless settings.

SSID to match SSID on Ubee.
Wireless mode to match the mode set on Ubee
Encryption level to match what is set on main router
Network Key to match the one set on Ubee.

Click apply and re-boot if neccesary.

Then navigate to netgear router ip address again and log in.

Go to DHCP server and change the router ip address to 192.168.1.2 and disable DHCP server and click apply and re-boot router.

After re-boot of router power down all devices for 2 minutes including routers and computers.

Then disconnect ethernet cable from pc to the netgear router.

Now connect an ethernet cable from one of the Lan ports on the Ubee modem/router and the other end to one of the Lan ports on the netgear router.

Power on the Ubee Modem/router and wait for lights to stabilise.

Power on Netgear router and wait for lights to stabilise.

Power on computer and go to start>control panel>networking and sharing centre>change adapter settings and right click your wireless network connection and choose properties>Internet protocol versionTCPIPv4>advanced and under default gateway click add and enter 192.168.1.2 click apply and ok and ok again.

Please try and connect to your router SSID and see if you have internet connectivity.

Please be aware that the only way to connect to the netgear is by ethernet and you will have to set a static ip address to do so.

Please let us know how it goes.

I have to go now but will be back tomorrow and see how it has gone if successful ensure your no-ip hostname is activated at no-ip.com and use the hostname and try and connect to your camera.

Edit: Only one SSID will be showing now.

can you give me instruction on how to make it work only using the modem?
I want to see if this damned camera is working at all through the net.

port 97 is closed, says some "port open?" check website.
here is a photo of the port forwarding on the ubee modem like shown some pages ago:
http://d.pr/i/DGPT
i have no idea if i need to chance settings in this port forwarding or if it is correct.

In your image the External IP should be set to ANY or ALL.

Yes this is what to do. Connect One PC directly to one of the Modem LAN/Ethernet ports. Also connect the camera to one of those ports. you will need to get the IP address the camera now has as it Will Not be the same as when it was connected to the Netgear router. Once you have the IP for the camera log into the Modems setup pages and forward port 97 to that new IP address the camera has and again in the External IP area select ANY or ALL.

I also see a section that says Firewall on the modem setup page, image you posted. If it does have a REAL Firewall system you may need to open that port, allow traffic through the firewall for that port, in the Firewall settings.

Post a Screen Shot of the Firewall settings page.

the camera is wirelessy connected to the ubee modem or bluesky mode, ip adress is desame.
i checked that with the settings application.

Edit: finally got it working. Set external ip adress on the port forwarding to 0.0.0.0 and ports of that external ip to nothing(empty fields) now the port suddenly opened and my ip cam can be accessed through the wan ip.
The other netgear router is assigning by dhcp so no problems connecting to wifi. Everything works now:)

UNSOLVED again..... *sigh*

tried accessing the camera today at work far away about 15km away from the router. didnt connect properly anymore.
Got the login screen but it didnt want to download any image. At home i can use wifi to access the camera and even 3g on my iphone(meaning not connected to the router, wifi disabled on iphone) and it works flawless. but on desame 3g network far away it doesnt want to load a image of the camera. Very weird....this doesnt make any sense?

Was you connecting using your WAN ip address or using your no-ip hostname.?

Because you have a dynamic Punlic ip address assigned by your ISP you will have to use your no-ip hostname to connect as long as you have activated it.

Another consideration is you normally use the no-ip update client also to update the ip address when it changes to the hostname.

With you have a camera you cannot download it onto that so would have to use the DDNS hardware client in your router in your case the Ubee but it only has DYN.DNS client to choose from so either try a firmware update on Ubee which may add option.

Please confirm whether you are connecting using WAN ip or hostname first.
