Possible Wireless LAN problem Disable HomeGroup!!

I've seen quite a lot who have trouble getting their wireless LAN connection up and running. Well the same for me :mad2:butt after some research I found out you need to turn of the HomeGroup.

This is causing the trouble after switching of the HomeGroup everything works fine.

Why do people have this problem?

I'm using Homegroup with wireless LAN and it works fine?

Well maybe it has to do something with the type of router you have.

In that case maybe it's also related to IPv6 because Homegroup seems to require it for some odd reason.

great instincts. Its both IPv6 and the changed permissions. Its do-able for power users but for the average OP its the worst idea.

Hi Ken do you mean Homegroup can work with IPv6 disabled? Or you just mean Homegroup not recommended for average users?
