Hi There,

I have Dell Optiplex 3010 machine in which the POST bios logo (not windows splash screen) appears some other instead of Dell manufacturer logo. How can i change that back to default so that when POST happens i can see the Dell logo?? I have tried reformatting the machine but still the logo doesn't show the Dell logo . Can anybody help me with this.

Thanks in advance.

Sunil

I'm not sure what you are referring to. Post BIOS would be when Windows loads.

Post on the Dell Community forum, that is probably the best chance to get an answer.

When a computer's BIOS P.O.S.T. [Power On Self Test] screen shows a manufacturer's or Vendor's logo it usually means the BIOS has been customized. Only way I ever heard of changing that was by installing a different version of the BIOS. It takes place before Windows, Linux or any other Operating System loads. Some companies will use a custom BIOS to display a warning sign about usage of the computer such as privacy or security issues.

In most Dell's (actually all that I've heard about) if the BIOS was customized with something other than a Dell BIOS update it will corrupt the BIOS and it will not work. Also, on a Dell, if the BIOS is corrupted the ONLY option is to replace the motherboard.

Hi Sunil.

There is a "Fullscreen Logo" option in the BIOS. If it is enabled, it shows the Vendor's branding logo during POST, of it it is disabled, it shows something else.

Check in the BIOS. If fullscreen logo is disabled there, enable it. The Dell logo should be back there.
