I'm still running a Fatal1ty 990FX Pro and it's great. It's strange that the exact same thing could happen on both z77 boards. I'm going to RMA it and sell the replacement they send me for cheap.

The 990FX pro is what I threw away. I think it's the Fatality branding. Or ASRock in general.

I won't buy ASRock again. I was tempted to get an OC Formula but I'm glad I got this ASUS board instead.

Just hit 5GHz. Not bench stable yet so I don't have temps

Woah, if I took my 3770K up to 5GHz I think it would melt! it runs hot enough at 4.4, let alone 5.

Yes Dave, RC 4 is the newest version yesterday because the RC 3 had a goofy listing too.
Solar, my AMD machine reads out like yours, each core and is correct.

If i happen to purchase a better board im sure i'll get a better clock

anyway here are some benches i took with this new CPU 8350

I also am using APS which allowed me to get it stable at this speed btw

APS Active Phase Switching _Defenition to stabilize Overclocks by providing extra juice underload kinda like LLC so in other words don't have to crank my V-core i'll adjust it to about 1.42 which is good voltage most people to get 4.5ghz you need atleast 1.45

so with the APS pretty much makes up for the rest of the Muscle on the voltage side

your memory is high which leads me to belive my board is holding me back these people are getting 5 ghz + scoring over 9's on cinbench

But there voltage is insane ill shoot for 4.6 ghz but the voltages these guys are getting to run it that high is too much for my taste
