Post Your Overclock! [2]

That is ashame Partrick, what Vcore were you running for 4.7ghz?

1.296-1.304v actual. And that was more temp wall than anything. To budge from that, it needs a big vcore push and since I was getting high 90's priming as is....

Still, ~100mhz isn't going to make much if any difference really.

Unlucky Patrick, 2 cards is still plenty enough though mate :D

Not for surround :( Plus I'm an eyecandy addict :p

One of the lads i game with just bought 2 EVGA 780's with water blocks and had to sit looking at them for over a week as he didn't have time to drain his loop n wot not. They probably started to rust from all the druel :)

That would've been a long week for him :)

Funnily enough, temps arent a huge deal with my 3 cards atm. They're windforces, so they are the 'dump in case' design. But on the plus side, I was able to add two 120mm's that sit against the cards and a 3rd 120mm sitting on top of the first card. right above the backside of the GPU core.

*Sigh* Computers - love em when they work, despise them them when they don't lol.

Realbench 559
Cinbench 8.30
3dMark06 25901(single card)
Firestrike 6308(single card)

A slight improvement in all test's. On the first run of Realbench i got the Handbrake error but i upped the vcore i notch and it ran sound.

Nice work Ryan, Funnily enough I ran Firestrike again this morning before you posted this, with the GPU oc'ed to 1230mhz and the CPU at 4.6ghz, I got 7812.
I can clock the GPU a bit higher which will improve things a little more and of course I could try it with the CPU at 5ghz.

Does it make much difference to the scores with the CPU clocked higher?

Paul.

Cheers chap!
You got an excellent score there mate nice 1.
From what i have seen so far both 3dMark06 and Firestrike(not much of a boost) cpu and gpu core make a difference but gpu memory doesn't as neither use much video memory. I think it was only about 230Mhz of v ram used in both.

The only things i changed for that run were cpu from 4.7 to 4.8, aswell as upping the power target to 115% and added 150 to the mem clock.
So far i've pretty much left the gpu out of it but when i get as high as i'm happy with the cpu i'll work on the gpu. Maybe :p

Realbench is all for memory so you'd be sorted with that lol.

Edit: this run gave me an increase of +629 in 3dMark06 and just +90 in firestrike.

My heart is really breaking for you Britts. It must be really difficult to overclock in temps as high as 27. It's really tough for you. Come here and try it. it hit 40C this week here, and summer hasn't really started yet. Actually, I haven't shed even 1 tear for you.

We don't have air conditioned houses though, and our CPU's are not used to ambient temps of 27C, I might shut my PC down until the heat passes, I think I just saw a bead of sweat forming on my Case :roflmao:

Besides, when it gets this warm here we make the most of it, Garden + Beer. Job done

:roflmao: We're used to 10months of wind and rain so this "cough" heat is a shock to the system ;)

That's good stuff.

Last summer we set a state record for consecutive days above 110*F....luckily, there was little humidity during that time. Most of our summer is 95*(35C) or better and 50%+ humidity. If it weren't for damn good AC and sweet tea, we wouldn't make it during the summer!
