I don't know if i can ask this here..but how far can my intel quad q6600 go with overclocking,with some solid air cooling..i don't know how to overclock but i will find someone

My G0 Q6600 runs at 3.6GHz -- 9x400MHz -- on stock Intel cooler in a case with nearly perfect airflow. I leave EIST and C1E enabled in the BIOS so my Q6600 runs at stock 2.4GHz without load and scales up to 3.6GHz as needed. I just set the FSB to 400, multiplier to 9, enable EIST and C1E and set the CPU voltage to 1.5v. Beats most i7s in benchmarks.

Same here. I have my rig auto-shutdown at 70-C...no way would I ever allow it to reach 80-C. That's nuts.

Yeah, I agree 70C is alot! 70C = 158F... and that's warm! But 80C is cooking (178F)!!!

Here's my Q9550 OC'd from stock 2.83GHz to 3.6GHz... These temps are after 40+ mins on OCCT...

AMD Phenom II X6 1090T @ 4.0 Ghz

I got my 1090 a couple of days ago, out of the box I was able to overclock it to 4.0 Ghz on air cooling.

Hi all , I am pretty new to the forums , thought I would share my current overclock with you.

I got a new pc dirt cheap and it came with a Celeron E3300 , stock speed 2.5ghz.

I changed the heatsink on it to one that was from a quad core processor and went a bit crazy with it lol.

Ran a fair few tests on it over the last few days and she is 100% stable and max temp I have hit in tests is 67 degrees.

Well, I definitely don't have the same kind of hardware some of you people are running, I would never dream of trying to pusg my aging 5400+ to those levels..... But I have to admit, for what I have, she performs well. I still can't wait to get a Phenom II x3 720BE though.

Both 3DMark06 and Vantage scores were done with Physx disabled, as per HWBot.org's requirements for an official score. With Physx enabled, my '06 score goes up to nearly 11000 and my Vantage score hits just over 9000.

Oh, I don't have a screenshot, but my temps aren't bad at all hey... My CPU doesn't ever get above 60 degrees (idles at 40, averages 50-55), and my GPU with this C now gets up to about 65 or 70 (idles at about 45-50, averages 60-65), but never seen it higher than that.

Haha... Nice WEI scoring there.

I see your 3DMark score suffers from the same problem as mine; low-ish CPU score.. Imagine what your 280 would do with an i5 or i7...

I am running the same CPU at 3.8ghz 24/7 on a MSI790FX-GD70 and it is very stable...

check out my setup 4.08 is the best i can do with the 125w 965be i had the 140w and could only get 3.91 (230 fsb)
