If you fully open the Pic first then right click on the image and save it you wont have that problem.

You got kind of washed out at the top there! Don't worry I've gone through quite a few that were too glary to be usable.

Indeed. The semi-crap camera I have doesn't help, either.

Here's the original image, for what it's worth. Rather pleasant, IMHO...

You can see the difference right off due to the clarity of the original. The cause of the glare is primarily the illuminated cloud cover ending up seeing that washed out look.

You'll notice the daylight and scenic shots for the 7 wallpapers always manager to see the source of the lighting pushed out of the way somewhat to avoid the glare factor. If that had been late afternoon, early dinner hour while still light enough that probably could have worked out.
