Posting System Specs

I thought the easiest way was how I posted for them to do it.
There are some many different ways to find your specs. So the best way
their choice. but System Specs are REALLY NECESSARY. Also I would like to see the MOD's. move all STOLEN THREADS to another thread.
I have never seen 2 people have the exact same PROBLEM , many have simular. but NEVER THE SAME...

Many times you see threads over 10 to 15 posts and 3 or 4 haveing the EXACTLY SAME problems. then it gets confusing as H*ll on who is trying to help who on what problem.

I also think it would be nice If a MOD edits a post: Why was it edited, If I make an ERROR i would like to see what I did wrong, so I can correct and NOT make that ERROR again.

whenever a members post is edited a reason should be visible at the bottom of the post....

are you speaking generally, or was it a specific post..??

im not sure i understand what you mean by ''stolen threads''..??, if there are two threads running which are practically identical & its beneficial for all involved, they will be merged....

is that what your referring to..??

or are you talking about ppl who jump into a thread & say....''hey ive got the same problem'', this is wrong.... & anyone seen doing it will be warned, but we must also accept that they're suffering with the same issues & just wanna add their experiences.

as stated above, if there's something you feel needs addressing... hit the post report button & explain the problem & we'll get back to you...;)

its a continual ''work in progress''....
Thanks for the clarification, skunksmash. I think we all can see the value of addressing more than one poster at a time if they are trying the same solutions or variations thereof.

On the other hand, someone who has a different computer, chipset, hardware, drivers, etc. and needs help should be on a separate thread. Glad to know we can alert the mods and let them decide what to do.

I got a rep point.

I actually prefer model numbers or service tags when they are available. When the OP is noobish, the number tells me everything with less extraction pain. When the OP is not so noobish, it helps to clarify any blind spots. When the OP is an expert, I am learning to skip the thread.

How can we make an Antism out of that? It is not exactly celerastic, nor spazziemotic. It is matt332matt332matt332.

And nobody wants to type that. Well, except matt332.

Maybe he works for one the contest non-winners.

The easiest way to find your system specs is to type DxDiag in the 'start search box'. Click on the blue/with yellow X icon ... then click on "Save

I filled in my system specs a week ago. Question? How do You get Your profile picture to appear in the threads? My profile picture appears on my profile page but not here in the threads.

I'm having a difficult time finding the rest of the requested information for the system specs- google is not proving to be helpful in locating these things. I'm trying to learn about all this, I promise, I'm just not looking in the right place to educate myself. I hope this can be the right place, cause I'm sick of learning wrong.
