I have an Acer S200hl A bd monitor that I got from a friend. He gave it to me because it didn't have a power adapter. I called Acer and they gave me the part number for it, 25.LUGM5.001. I called the supplier for Acer's parts, and they said the product is discontinued. I googled it and only got four unhelpful results. The power specs for the monitor is 19V and 1.58A. How would I get a power adapter that suits my needs?

Go to Amazon dot com and search on "19v power adapter". There's a couple of Acer adapters there as well as others. All you need to do is check the specs for the socket on your display and match it. You can use an adapter with a higher current rating as long as the voltage is 19v.

Yesterday, while browsing eBay, I saw a universal power adapter for Laptops & monitors that had about 12 different interchangable tips to fit the correct size power socket. Just use some different search words on eBay.
