Here is a super tough question for all.Why does the deletion of favorites all of a sudden take a prolonged time(about minute) to delete and all the while displaying this odd window?Window states"Preparing to recycle from discovering items" It's not even logical language.Deletion of other files does not stir up this message.help please:cry:

Hi Whyguy,

For what it's worth I have seen this message. It only occurs ( for me ) when Deleting a very large file.

On way to avoid the message would be to hold down the shift key which will
delete the file without recycling it. Of course than it will irretrievable.

That is not much but it is all I have to offer,

Good luck,
Richard

Hey Richard,Thanks for taking the time to respond, very cool. You are right about the shift key;it's a start and a fix. These things always bug me.I did want to mention that I just noticed that when i delete the favorite, the "are you sure box" has the name of the item stated twice. Is that wierd?a virus maybe?i'm scanning w Norton. However when i go to delete the "Favorite bar" thats created when i delete the original favorite, there is only the one item name.I have used different registry backups going back a month;no change.I'm hoping this phenomena will benefit from a future hotfix.I know what you mean with the large deletions,i remember that. This is just a favorite though. I always wonder "WHY",hence my handle.
