Primary versus Logical Partitions Conundrum

I have some external HDDs that, for all practical purposes, are purely Logical data storage drives; however, they insist on displaying as Primary in Disk Management.
Some of them, I have even went to the trouble of changing their designation from Primary to Logical, only to have them revert back to Primary the next time I happen to look.
So far as using these drives, I can not tell any difference in how they act regardless of whatever designation Disk Management has labeled them with.

My question is: is there any snag or pitfall, due to these drives/partitions being labeled as Primary, that is going to cause me any unexplainable problems or mysterious bewilderment and send me here asking questions as to why some situation or other is not working as I expect it to ?

Thanks for reading and all help is appreciated.

A primary is a complete partition a logical is a host with other partitions inside it the main problems is if the logical gets corruption it kills all the other parties as well how many primary you can have depends on the disk setup
