Print Screen not working properly

Hi, I have a duel boot desk top computer. Windows Xp x 32 and Windows 7 x 64.
I modified my server load screen and wanted to check it so I hit the print screen key and pasted it to paint and all I get is a back screen instead of the load screen image. Then I took a image of my desk top and the image is fine.
Did the same thing on windows xp and everything is fine,the load screen image and the desk are image are coming out just the way there suppose to.
Is there a setting that I'm missing on windows 7 that could be causing my problem. Thanks Raner

Two things to remember about Print Screen button.
1. Works when system has finished booting (OS environment must be running).
2. Does not capture a video rendering from video card with hardware acceleration enabled (enabled by default).

It is probably just a difference in how the OSes load and make commands available. Most of the time, when you see a pre-boot screen, it was captured from a virtual machine. If you really want to show your screen, you could always run Windows 7 in a VM on your host and edit the screen. While you're at it, you could virtualize XP and be done with outdated dual boots.

Deaconfost you peaked my curiosity. I'm going to vier off the origanal subject for a bit to ask you a question.
I am running Windows 7 professonal X 64, AMD - AM3 1090T Six core CPU. AsRock 890 Deluxe 4 motherboard, 8 GB's of ram, Two ATI 2900 pros (Crossfired) 1 GB of Ram each, Cards are a bit dated but they will run any
game at max settings so I can't get rid or them just yet. LOL and 1000 PSU. So I got the the hardware.
I found this:

But I was wondering if there is a guide that you might know off that I can use to take advantage of the
windows xp pro service pack 3 I have installed on my pc which is on my duel boot setup.
I have it installed on it's own partition. If there is a way to use it, It will save me a bunch of time being it's

It's your thread...you can take it in any course you want!

As for a guide, I'll have to look. It might require some extra work, but you might be able to capture an image of your current XP install, and then "restore it" to a virtual machine. Without trying to confuse you anymore, I've actually skipped XP Mode and started using VirtualBox instead, as it let's me use other OSes as well. The only downside is, you need to have your own XP license, but it sounds like you do already.
