Hello all.

I just realized that, without thinking about it first; I installed Windows 7 with my printer hooked up and it installed a driver for it with no problem at all. I'm glad, now I know that 7 will install with it hooked up.

It also installed a driver for my 9600GT with no problem.

I think that most of the driver incompatibilities are a thing of the past....;)

Later :) Ted

Kodak EasyShare 5300 errors

Kodaks and Microsoft, do they plan to obsolete my cost efficient 5300?
Must remove and then download the latest drivers from Kodak for a Vista OS and hope for the best.
What do you think?

Kodak EasyShare 5300 errors no big deal

Well I got beyond that. A removal of the old that I put in the OS and once I hit the Kodak site all went ok. Kodak's setup took two times through, 1st removed the old and hung in process 2nd took off like a champ. Explorer crashed once after the test and a message questioning the proper setup but it works. On to shairing and the Laptop. All in all beter than my 1st Vista experiance. This is a good old box. TT

Sorry to necro this thread but does anyone know if Kodak ever did bring out 64-bit drivers for this printer (the Kodak easyshare 5300) in Win7?

Found it. It's on their website under their 'all-in-one' software package '(including drivers)'. Find it here: KODAK All-in-One Printer Home Center Software (including drivers) - WINDOWS Operating Systems

It doesn't support WinXP 64-bit, but does support Win7 64-bit. My friend, for whom I was doing the search, has downloaded it and it works just fine with her Win7-64 setup.
