Using Windows 7 64 bit. Added the HP LaserJet p3005 printer with pcl6 driver. When I try to test print. I get popup with title "Notice" and message "Fail to get user information". I can print the pdf, excel, and word files. However, I can't print test pages, windows photo viewer, and anything from notepad application. I also tried the PCL 5 driver but same result. What can I try?

Try the Postscript driver. Try the 32-bit driver. Try the Vista driver.

Try installing the driver only, rather than the full printer software package.

Also, try a different cable (Ethernet or USB).

It seems that this is an old printer, because the manual said that it was fully supported for Windows XP and earlier. So there might be a compability issue with Windows 7. This is why I suggested trying the Vista driver - it is older than the Windows 7 driver and might be more compatible with this printer.

You could also try picking the basic LaserJet driver that is included with Windows 7. You won't get all of the functionality that the printer is capable of, but hopefully you will get all of the basic functionality.
