hey guys! i need help to completely and permanently remove "Hide IP Easy 5.3.1.2" from my Windows 8 Toshiba Laptop. I have tried to do so using control panel's "add/remove program" feature but it always stop with a prompt with only 2 options: 1) retry, and 2) cancel. clicking "retry" option always brings back the same exact prompt. this also happens when i tried its own uninstaller plus TuneUp Utilities Uninstaller and CCleaner Uninstaller as well. they all fail with the exact same prompt that recurs every time i hit retry.

i tried searching for blogs and such on how to remove this program but only found those relevant to prior version releases of the program and regarding earlier versions of Windows OS. it will be a great blessing for me if anyone can help me with this irritating problem.

thanks all and God bless,

Zeamann.

Try System Restore? Choose a date before you installed "Hide IP Easy."

Hope this helps,

Hello.. Another way.. is to use free of Revouninstaller.. but.. caution on crap programs it will want to install.. check or uncheck carefully to only install the free version of the revouninstaller.. When using it.. go.. advanced method.. and then select bold items still in registry.. Good luck.. If above method will not work for you..

Thanks John for the reminder. I say "reminder" because I know that it is one of the easiest way to rid oneself of any unwanted programs BUT i chose not to use for personal reasons that i can imagine will be easily obvious to you. Thanks anyways and God bless,

hi Yard Dog,

I wouldn't want to risk me making a mistake and cause an addition or more to the current problem I have. I would really love to hear about more non-risky programs to remove this IP hider program. Thanks and God bless,

Files in use

My guess is that either some files are still in use and running or else the program also installed a service that's running in the background.

If the program didn't come with it's own uninstaller you'll have to shut it down manually before removing it.

I hesitate to recommend uninstall utilities but if you want something that can detect files that are locked and in use but delete them on boot try the portable version of Iobit Unistaller.

Download IObit Uninstaller Portable - MajorGeeks

Look for an icon for this program running in System Tray, right click on it and turn it off, then go to add/ remove programs and try to remove Hide IP Easy.

Check Task Manager for the process, end it if you find it there. Then go back to add/ remove programs and attempt to uninstall it.

You could try installing the newest version to see if it will overwrite the older version. Then try to uninstall it again. Hide IP Easy 5.3.3.6

You could Boot into Safe Mode and try to uninstall it from add/remove programs.

Or go into the Registry and remove all of the registry files associated to it.

Hope this helps,
John

Hi Callender,

Could you please be more specific as to which files and where they could be in the system does this program have its hidden files running in the background? I will download and run the Iobit Uninstaller you suggested and post back the result. Thanks and hope to hear from you more. God bless,

Hi johnsmith45jock,

Checking in task manager and disabling hide IP was amongst the first things that I did when I first encounter this issue. However, I will try your suggestion of installing the newest version and then uninstalling and post back result BUT i will have to first do the one that Callender suggested. Thanks again and God bless,

I just finished installing Hide IP Easy 3.3.6.

During install - decline any other offers, choose custom install, untick any boxes offering other programs. If your not careful you'll end up with other programs. After install completed, I tested the program, worked just fine. Then uninstalled it from add/ remove programs without issue. ;)

Uninstalling Hide IP Easy

Hi,

Just downloaded Hide IP Easy and installed for test purposes. The program uninstalled easily after right clicking on the system tray icon and choosing Exit to shut down the program.

It doesn't install a service so no worries there. It doesn't uninstall cleanly - there are a couple of left over files and folders that needed to be deleted manually but there's no problem with any actively running files left behind!

EDIT: You could just shut down the program as described above and try running the program's own uninstaller. You should find it in C:\Program Files (x86)\ Hide IP Easy

In that folder there should be a file name starting with the letters - uninst

Double click it!
