Problem updating program version in windows 7 64Bit

Hello Everyone ,,

I'm a computer programmer and I have a database program for pharmacy >>

The problem is on a customer's computer with Windows 7 64 Bit I installed the version 1.2 for example .. then I wanted to replace it with version 1.3 !!!

After replacing the files when lunching it >> it's still 1.2 !

Can any one HELP me ?!!!

I don't think the issue has anything with whether the OS is 64 or 32 bit, I as well as many others update both 64 or 32 bit software/programs all the time and have no issues running a 64-bit OS (Windows 7).

Now I'm not a programmer but what I think may be your issue is how the program is coded, and whether it's updating the files it needs to update.

In short, you may have to look at your code and make sure you have it setup to install, execute, and or update at either the 32 or 64 bit level.

You might also make sure it's not skipping any files, which it sounds like it is by not updating the version numbers.

Again, I'm no programmer so....

Just a thought; completely remove the old version and then install the new version.
