okay i have a weird problem

i have a copy of W7 ultimate..x86 and x64

i tried to install it to a blank HDD

it gets through the select which bit to install, and what language, and does the partition bit...it gets to the install,... and gets stuck on the gathering files.. then shows a message that allocated file are not available.

i remade my disk, and started my computer..but it doesnt boot the install, it shows the error

BOOTMGR not found
ctrl, alt + del to restart

Hello liamf91.

Did you use the Windows 7 installer to format the partition Windows was on previously?

Maybe you need to specify the SATA drivers for your motherboard before installation?

I would suggest, after you have copied out or made back-ups of the data you need to save to external media, use Step One of this tutorial at the link below to do a wipe (secure erase) to the entire Hard Disk Drive, running this then using the outline in Step Two #2 to create/format and mark Active a single 100GB partition using diskpart will get you the best possible space to clean install Windows 7 to.

DISKPART : At PC Startup

You shouldn't have to add any drivers at all.

Your DVD is not booting.

Where did you get Win7? If you burned it yourself, confirm the ISO and burn another DVD using ImgBurn at 4x speed with verify.

Boot from CD - How to Boot your Computer from a Bootable CD or DVD - Boot to CD If you cannot get the DVD to boot following these steps, repeatedly tap the one-time BIOS Boot Menu key given on first boot screen to choose DVD drive to boot. Make sure "Press Any Key to boot DVD" prompt occurs.

i remembered that the laptop im using is x86

im tryin to install x64

it doesnt burn properly....plus i "found" the windows7 ;) lol

do you know any software which will let me burn a x64 image properly on my x86 laptop

got the windows7 online,

trying to burn it to dvd disk... using my laptop which is x86

but the copies im trying to do, are x86/x64 or just x64.

wondering if there is any software which i can install on to my x86, which will burn the x64 images properly...im currently using ultraISO.

Try PowerISO if you have $29.95 to spare or ImgBurn if you prefer freeware.

But don't forget that whatever you use, you are breaking the law if you burn a disk from an ISO obtained from a Windows 7 torrent or other such dodgy 'online' source.
