Problem while booting windows 7 on a usb

Hi,
I have installed Windows 7 32Bit in a USB but while i am trying to boot from the USB it returns to the Hard Drive.

Is this the same PC that you installed the OS? It won't work otherwise.
Are you selecting the correct Boot device?

Try removing other HDDs and see if it will boot?
Try marking the partition as active with Partition Wizard free.

Can you just clarify, do you mean you have installed Windows 7 onto a USB stick or are trying to boot from the bootable USB stick to install Windows 7?

I don't know if this is your issue or not - but some older computers will not boot off a USB to install Windows on a new hard drive. My older computer (a Gigabyte GA-E45 motherboard with intel core 2 Duo) has a message on the BIOS start screen that says it will only boot off hard drive or CD.

When I did my Win 8 upgrade, I used a bootable USB stick and it had no problems. But when the HD started to fail, I replaced it with a new SSD and tried to install Win 8 using the same USB and it would not work. I had to use my Win7 CD to install, then install Win8 over that.

If in doubt confirm the installation media and rewrite it to the stick from Step 1 of Clean Reinstall Windows 7
