Solved Problem with GPU temp.

Hello!

I got an issue with my GPU temperature and fan speed. I use Speedfan to regulate it and recently I started noticing that at random times my Speedfan shows/sets my GPU temp at -99 and turns the fan speed to the minimum. A few days back I had a power outage, while my PC was on. Don't know if that damaged the temperature sensor somehow, and I don't know how to check it.

When I ain't doing much it isn't a problem, but yesterday I was watching a game on twitch and suddenly noticed that the temp was -99. I restarted Speedfan and it showed that the temp was 92 and fans where maxed out.

My card is MSI R9 290 4GD5.

Sppedfan is garbage, didn`t the card come with a driver and software cd ?

Isn`t there a gpu monitoring program on there ?

That would be much better then speedfan.

MSI Afterburner for example, but I forget if it shows gpu temps.

I'll give the MSI Afterburner a go and will give and update during the week.

You can go into the settings and set a custom fan profile and a lot of other things too.
