Solved Problem with temp folder

Hi, i'am using windows 7 ultimate x86 and from few days i have been facing a problem with the temp folder(located User\AppData\Local\Temp). Every time i connect to the internet, my antivirus always detects something from this particular temp folder like VRTC1C9.tmp, s608.tmp, VRTA4B7.tmp, VRT7FEB.tmp, VRT8604.tmp, sCEF2.tmp and ask me to select the suitable option. I guess due to this my firefox and chrome stoped working. But IE's running smoothly.
So, experts plz help me out.......

Hello and welcome akakzz Mate just a quick tip it's always worth a quick Google of stuff like that very often it pops something up for you.

Now i did quick one and that s608.tmp shows up it might be some malware of some sort mentioning Nigeria as there are cleaning solutions sites.

Have you got Malwarebytes or SuperAntiSpyware apps on if not download them they are free and run them they don't take long. Let us know how you go.

hi John, firstly thanks for ur opinion and as recommended by u i downloaded both the apps and scanned the whole pc. Few threats were detected and i successfully removed them. But though, when i connect to the internet the same msg as before pops up asking me to select the suitable option for the .tmp file. Can u plz help me out regarding this issue. I have even tried formatting the c: drive and reinstalling windows, but yet the problem continues....
Plz help me out.

Right oh aka first up mate some system specs would be good as it is good to know what one is working with ie prebuilt home build CPU RAM drives etc etc

I have read on this and the other website you have formatted the c drive and no other drives are attached.
Do you have more than one partition on the same drive that c is on.
My thinking is:
1. You have a infected Windows 7 cd/dvd which is installing the infection with a format and install. Where/wheir did you get your copy of Windows 7 and by what method?
2. You have something infected in the computer like another partition, flash drive, card reader ect. which infects you system as soon as Windows is installed.
3. IoBit any thing is not good and that includes Advanced System Care.
4. You are installing the same programs from a backup or on line source that you had before which are probably also infected.
My reasoning: A clean computer does not get infected by formating and installing a clean copy of Windows 7. There/their is a snake in the wood pile some where/wheir.

Hiyya Layback I think we need to know what the set up is too as in specs cos as you say if there is a visitor in the wood pile then we need to know what that wood pile contains eh?

My thinking is perhaps there is something stashed away in the RAM or whatever.

CPU - Intel Pentium E5700 @ 3.00GHz Wolfdale 45nm Technology

My hard drive is partitioned into 4 drives i.e., C: D: E: and F:
and i guess my windows dvd is not infected coz previously i used to use this particular dvd and there was no such problems...

Hum aka thats a lot of partitions - well for me it is so what is each one used for please.

Oh and thanks for the specs mate it really does make a difference knowing what we are working with.

Now I don't know what anyone else thinks but the first target in the wood pile would (nice pun) be that HDD. Plus as Layback says any sticks or cards you may have plugged in.

i use micromax modem in order to connect to the internet....
my c: drive consists of windows and installed programs. and the rest of the drives contains my personal files like movies, games, softs etc....

I would delete your temp files 1st

Then I would scan with Windows defender Offline

You can also scan with Malwarebytes in safe mode. Removing the offending temp files does not mean the problem is gone, this is why you want to scan with several programs (I can suggest MBAM, SuperAntispyware, Emsisoft Antimalware).

And you have deleted the temp files? The Windows Defender Offline scans outside of windows. I still suggest using it after you delete the temp files. A Guy

If following the suggestions from A Guy and others doesn't fix this, where did you get your Win 7 dvd?
Is the Win 7 DVD a genuine MS Win 7 install DVD?
Is your Win 7 OS activated and updated with all the latest MS updates?

Maybe a Ccleaner would help, but i would not trust a system where the OP said in Post #3

Can a clean install carry forward malware in a temp file from a prior install?
If that's possible, it's scary !
