I' have been having some problems playing TS2 whose last expansion pack was from 2008 in my new computer. Everything is perfect except textures... I set them on High but after moving the mouse they turn to low/medium despite still having them on Hight at the option box...

I have an AMD Radeon HD 8670D and I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit, but I do not know if the problem is because of the graphic card or maybe is related to Windows Updates... (I'm not an expert at these things).

I can play The Sims 3 perfectly so the Sims 2 game should run even better, but I know that some old games don't recognize new cards... For those who know about this game, I tried to change GraphicRules.sgr and also added my card in VideoCards.sgr But textures are terrible. I can upload some pics of the game or files in order to make it clearer for you.

Alex, Bienvenido al foro tio... Real Madrid o Barca? ;)

Ok, now onto more serious things... have you tried to update your Drivers (Video and Audio)???

If so, when and how did you do it?

If not... it would be a good idea to do so.

Let us know if you are savvy enough to do so or if you need further help.

Hey, thanks. I think I have, despite not having found the "driver" on AMD official page. I'm not really sure... If what I have installed is the driver or the AMD Catalyst Manager  I also thought that may be was a driver problem, but I'm not sure if it's really installed and I don't know where to see it!.

Right click on My Computer, go to Manage, then Device Manager, then go to Display Driver and tell us what version you have and what is the date of the driver.

Hey! According to what I can see in AMD Radeon HD 8670D properties, the version is 13.152.0.0 and it's dated to 08/30/2013 . I tried to use the Update function (Windows search service) but it says that it is already updated

By the way, I like the two teams!!! :)
