I have three flip albums that were produced and made for my fathers air force group from WWII. Number 1 is a standard layout on printed info and histories. The other two are flip album style, laid out book style with pages of pictures you can thumb through and click on certain photos. Now for some reason, the book cover will come up and the first couple pages will flip but that's as far as it will go and the little blue circle for downloading just stays on the page spinning. I tried them on my wife's lap top and they work fine. Also I can use DVD that are single pic's with no problem, just the flip doesn't want to work. Looked all around on the web but seems everything is geared towards flip album "burners" problems. If anyone can steer me in the right direction with this I would really appreciate it!! I am NOT a 'puter wizard so you may need to talk loud and slow! Thanks ....Swede:shock:

Hi Swede-

I don't need to talk loud and slow since I've never used flip album software. Have you gone to support for the software you're using?

Wither, I haven't either. The albums just worked with what ever was available with the WIN 7 system. I did not have to download anything special to see them before. I was hoping that maybe there was something simple that someone had run into and I could avoid going through Windows help/ support. I did that once before and it took forever to ask the right questions to get to any answer I could use.

I assumed you created them since they contain personal pictures. How did that come about?

They were professionally produced as a three DVD set covering the history and two full DVD's of photos of the heavy bomber group that my father flew with in WWII. Again, they worked fine for a long time but suddenly the flip album operation ceased to work. They work properly on another "puter, just not on this one. That is what I am trying to understand and fix........

Wither, I have this for videos. It is only for audio and video. I have disc's with photo's done in a flip album presentation. No video or audio, just photos. Large pages with photos, page after page after page. You flip each page to go to the next. I cannot get the album to work on my WIN 7 64bit. Works fine on my wifes lap top. I really need some idea where to look to find the problem or find another download to get them back working.

Yes, but when you insert the DVD, what is playing it? For instance, it might be Windows Media Player.

I'm assuming it is. I have not downloaded anything extra to it except VLC and that was a long time ago. Is there a way to check it or do I need to delete media player and download again?

Can you provide a screen shot of what you're seeing when it's playing? If you don't know how to get the screen shot, let me know and I'll provide instructions.

The only thing I could send you would be a screen shot of the front of the album with the little download circle spinning in the middle. Or 1 of maybe three pages that come up before I'm told there isn't enough media space. Which is goofy considering I can put another CD in that's loaded with photos and no problem. Just the flip photo album.......

Unless you're viewing in full screen mode, one should be able to see the outline of the actual software playing the album. That's what I wanted to see.

Go to Control Panel and select AutoPlay. What is the default action for the DVD Movie?

Is that the exact error message you're getting? How much free space do you have on your hard drive?

I would change the DVD Movie option to do nothing. Then, I would try selecting a disc from within VLC Player to see if it works.
