Problem With Windows 7 Software RAID 1

I setup my wife's PC with the OS on an SSD (C) and her data on a separate HD (D,) I did this using sysprep when I first setup the system so I could backup the OS and data drives separately.

I subsequently decided to create a software RAID 1 of the data drive in addition to regular backups.

Her PC is about 6 years old and has recently developed some problems. In addition, I accidentally found out that the RAID 1 has failed. There is a notice when I bring up disk management. "Failed redundancy."

I want to find out which disk has a problem and I attempted to try and read them using another PC but neither of the drives is readable. They only show up as dynamic disks.

I have backed up the data prior to removing the disks.

What I want to do is revert to basic disks or at the least, just use one disk.

How can I make both disks readable in another PC so I can identify which disk has the latest data on it.

I also want to be able to put the disk back in her PC,

Thanks

I would goto the disk makers web site as they will have a disk check specific to there drive which should tell the state of the disk

/They are WD drives and there is nothing wrong with them. I have checked them thoroughly. All i want at this point is to break the RAID but I keep getting an error message....missing plex

You should un build the Raid array the same way you did to build. I suppose it was under BIOS.
As I remember a single Raid 1 disk could be read independently of the other, only Raid 0 you must have both.

In same PC, can you detach one disk and test the other?

You stated want to find out which disk has a problem and I attempted to try and read them using another PC but neither of the drives is readable
