can't install the driver for hp laserjet p1009. help plz

i downloaded the driver for windows 7 x64 and the installation was prociding for 2 hours, i supposed that this isn't right and finish the process.
i tried to update the driver through the device properties and i get the message "windows was unable to install your HP..."

Make sure that the driver and all remnants are removed, then use the link as given by Tews to download. Tell us what happens.

at the device driver details says:

No driver files are required or have been loaded for this device.

i suppose there isn't any driver installed and the drivers i tried to install was from that page http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsuppor...kId=135&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=3802511

the windows 7 (64-bit)

i tried it twice, the first time it took about 30 minutes and i ended it
today i left the installation to proced for 2 hours

I will help you. I have an HP printer and had no problems

First lets be sure we agree on the correct driver.

Give me all the required information about your printer model etc.

Tell me what OS you have and the platform (32 or 64). I know that you gave some of this already, but lets start from scratch. We do not know where the mistake was made.

nt exactly, i installed it on a different language but anyway i downloaded the driver you provided me, installed it succesfully but the printer is still not working

OK we are progressing, at least the driver is installed. Try booting the computer and see if it works. If not follow these instructions.

i rebooted the pc and still nothing, i get a troubleshoot report

Uninstall the driver. Then download the driver to your documents and follow this. Make sure printer is not connected to the computer until told to do so.
