I've got IE11 on my Windows 7 laptop. recently my On-Line sessions keep Freezing or Crashing and little messages pop up, saying "A problem has caused Explore to Stop Working". Sometimes another message invites to send details to MS, sometimes not. The problem happens a LOT and is driving me up the wall. I recently composed a LARGE comment for a Political Forum, only to have IE crash as I posted it, and lost over 2 hours of work.
I've got Internet Explorer Auto Updates turned ON and running RegCure usually finds faults to fix, but Fixed or not my Explore problems continue.
I'm guessing I need to Un-Install my Corrupted IE and then install a "clean" copy, but do I need to Back-Up any stuff first, and how do I get On-Line to Download a new copy after I've Un-Installed my Browser ?

Hi the only method I know of to correct anything built into windows like Internet explorer is to do a repair install,
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/3413-repair-install.html

You might try clean boot,
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/179159-troubleshoot-application-conflicts-performing-clean-startup.html
Click Start and type in the search box,
msconfig
Click on the suggestion on top or hit the Enter key,
Go to the Startup section and take some screen shots for a complete list,
Go to the Services section and on the bottom left Check the box to Hide All Microsoft services,
Repeat the screen shots,
See the links above my signature on how to take and upload screen shots here,

See what this does,
Use No Add-ons mode/ Click the Start button and type in the search box,
Internet explorer
Start-no%20add-ons-7.jpg

Click on the suggestion (No Add-ons) or it’s located at,
Start/ All programs/ Accessories folder/ System tools folder/ No add-ons.

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-IN/windows7/How-to-manage-add-ons-in-Internet-Explorer-9
If using ie10 the first link will apply to ie9 as well,

Activate EPM if on a 64 bit version of windows,
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/280434-internet-explorer-10-enable-32-bit-64-bit-ie10-windows-7-a.html#post2312336
Add the Run box to the Start menu list,
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/559-start-menu-add-run-button.html
Open the Run command and Paste this into it and Okay,
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -extoff
