Hi Folks,

I am having problems if I my the PC sleep twice. The first time it sleeps like normal (flashing power light etc). When i resume and then sleep again at any point it just hangs with the monitor power off, but the PC is still running.

I have checked the BIOS and I have set it to S1 + S3.

Any ideas what I could try?

Thanks for your help
All the best,
Ash

Hello Ash, Welcome!

Can you check to make sure that you are running the latest drivers? Look on nVidia's site for the latest graphics card drivers, especially.

Thanks!
~Jonathan

Hi Jonathan,

Yeah i've got the latest drivers for both the motherboard chipset and graphics cards, i've tried a number of drivers.

It also happens with hibernate.

I did change my power supply recently (to a gigabyte odin pro), but you'd hope it would just supply power like any other :)

All the best,
Ash

It has only started in the last month or so, I had been using win 7 since the first beta before that, I have the full version ready to install, but I have quite a bit of programming / graphics stuff installed and its quite difficult to restore everything to the way it way.

I am on build 7100.

I might try a system restore, but i've installed most of the drivers again trying to resolve the problem.

Sure. I would recommend installing the full version ASAP. The beta will expire soon, and you will have to change over sometime, why not now? The Final version fixed many bugs and stuff, and that could be the cause of your problems.
Just my personal view.

You are probably right, its just i've got such a lot of work to finish at the moment :). Apart from the sleep issue I am more than happy with win 7. I guess i'll just have to wait for a bit of calm and install the "proper" version. Thanks for your help any way,
All the best,
Ash
