Hi there!

I have a Panda 4.0 dongle purchased on Amazon. As per some comments I found, I allowed Windows to install the driver for it as people were stating that the manufacturer was instructing against using the drivers included with the dongle.

Windows stated that the driver was installed successfully, I now have a BT icon in the toolbar and there's no errors being reported in the device manager.

The issue I have is that when I go to "Devices and Printers" or "Bluetooth Personal Area Network Devices", the location bar shows scanning veeeeeeeerrrrrryyy slowly to 100% then just stays blank. It looks like the process never ends. I never see my BT headphones that I've turned on for the discovery process.

I'm sure that the dongle is operable because in my Debian install on the same machine, I'm able to connect to my BT devices without issue. It just seems to be an issue in my Win install.

Could someone help me troubleshoot this issue? I'd love to be able to use my BT headphones!

Thanks for your time!

You could try reinstalling the driver in compatability mode.

Thanks very much for your help, Roy. I managed to figure out my issue. I tried the disc's drivers wich got the computer to see the headset but would fail when trying to connect. When I downloaded the drivers from the Panda website, everything worked as it should.

Working on boosting the levels via an EQ next so I can actually hear it :)

Took me forever to figure it out but can finally mark this as solved.

My issue was that at max volume, the sound was too low. The same headphones operated at a sufficient volume when connected to my phone via blutooth so I knew it could be better.

I finally came across this equlaizer/amplifier that worked with the bluetooth connection. I am now able to hear the audio over the headphones.

Thanks very much for all your help!
