Processor Core I x queries

I'm in the process of looking for a new desktop these days, I just came back from the computer shop, the attendant (who is not always that savvy) told me the following about core I x processors:

1) All core I processors are 64 bit

2) buying a core I computer means you will have to install W8 or W10 on it because you will not find drivers for W7


Are these facts correct?

Do you mean Intel I3/I5/I7 CPUs? If so you most certainly can run Windows 7 on them, in fact I'm not sure if there are any modern CPUs that won't run with Windows 7. Post up the spec you're interested in for more detailed help but if it's Windows 7 you want as your OS then you're good to go.

I have another question for you: Wich is closer to Windows 7 W8.1 or W10?

8.1 in its vanilla state is nothing like 7 at all really, although if you pay $4.99 for Start8 you can make it virtually the same as 7 with an identical Start Menu and the like. Windows 10 is probably more like 7 out of the box but it may take some getting used to.
