Yes.

Download the correct ISO from mydigitallife.info, burn it to a DVD, install, activate with your existing Product Key.

The correct term is the Product Key.

It is found on the Certificate Of Authenticity (COA) sticker.

I am reasonably sure you can install and activate either 32 or 64, but you need to confirm your hardware will support 64 bit.

The Product Key will apply to only one "version"--e.g. Home Premium, Professional, whatever.

Why would you bother with that?

The default install works well as is, even on a puny machine.

I think there is a tool at Microsoft.com that can check your system to see if it is Windows 7-ready.

1: I am bothering because I plan to install it on a day when i'm busy and it would save me time personally.

2:Why would I need a tool to see if my laptop can run windows7 when i'm running windows 7?

Aye aye.

It typically takes no more than 30 minutes and maybe a couple of dozen mouse clicks, with the drivers included on the install disc.
