So up until last night windows 7 was working just fine but then last night I installed Divx 7 and all my internet browsers, aim, and so on started freezing. I uninstalled it and that seemed to fix the problem but when I woke up this morning it was back to the way it was last night. Any suggestions?

The next time an app is frozen, find it in Task Manager, right-click, and select "Create Dump File". A few seconds later, you'll see the path to the dump file in the dialog box that pops up.

If you zip up that dump file as tightly as possible (it'll be relatively large) and put it up somewhere for download (rapishare.com or whatever), somebody may be able to tell you why it's hung.

If you're going to be using a browser for this purpose, don't be accessin' your internet banking site at the time you generate the dump. Think of that dump as a rather complete record of what the process was up to at the time... innocuous and impersonal sites only, for your own protection.
