I have uninstalled a program (via control panel etc). And when I check within the ProgramFiles folder it is no longer there. How ever when I look in the Program File X86 folder the program is still there.
I thought I must have made a mistake so went back to Control panel / Program files, but the program is no longer on the list.

How do I uninstall this program if not on the Program File list? Do I simply delete the folder?

FYI the program is "Polar" a fitness software program, unrelated to operating system etc.

Thanks

program files (x86) is just the folder where 32 bit programs get installed. 64 bit programs get installed into program files on a 64 windows 7 install. So it would just seem the uninstaller was lazy and left files behind.

Correct :)

To the OP, you can safely remove the folder as Windows would have taken care of the rest.

Also look in ProgramData folder for leftovers. Also check AppData folder for each user. Look around in each sub-folder.
