I'm sure many of us have encountered this problem, and before I hear from people who say "you need to check to make sure other threads haven't been made about this", I already did...and their solutions didn't help. Hence, the starting of my own thread.

I've never really had a problem with computer games on my laptop (Toshiba Satellite A305-S6905) before until I bought and played that cursed Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4. That game crashed and glitched it's way into my personal file of Hell . Ever since I uninstalled and burned the game (okay, I just broke it and trashed it), any game I play on here has been crashing at the title screen with a " ________ has stopped working. Please wait while Windows checks for a solution", upon which a solution is never found. I've researched (aka googled) and a lot of people are associating it with a Flash 10 problem. I did have to upgrade to Flash 10 when I got the Lego Harry Potter  so it could be this, but I haven't gotten a fix for it. Anyway, any help whatsoever is greatly appreciated. Seems like I can't play anything on this laptop anymore and it's driving me bonkers.

Thanks in advance :)

Yes. I've uninstalled it, tried to run a game and still it crashes. I've also downgraded back to Flash 9....still a no-go. However, from what I've read about other people with the Flash 10 bug...even when they've done the same thing...the games/programs still crash.

Best case might be to do a system restore back from before you installed the Lego game.

If not, try reinstalling the graphics drivers. Also open command prompt (right click and run as admin) and type: sfc /scannow

+ 1

+ 1 and while you are at it, do an upgrade to the sound drivers as well... it wouldn't hurt

Even if you do a system restore, I would also do a Fresh Uninstall/Install of the drivers if you see something fishy with the new games you play.

the more info you provide on the problem, the faster we can help but if we can only assume, the help will slow down.

system restore didn't work, nor did re-installing the graphic drivers :(.

I did the sfc /scannow in command prompt and after it finished scanning, it stated pretty much that everything was fine.

Nope. I just ran the scan again and no violations have been found. :( ( I mean I guess that's a GOOD thing...but I was hoping something would be found so that it could fix my problem )

There still has to be something wrong or corrupt with your computer, so it is somewhat surprising that nothing was found.

You could try running a repair install from your Windows Disc.
