Hello,
i'm on windows 7, and I use the windows search a lot to execute programs (i just have to open start menu, type the beginning of the program name and press enter)
But infortunately, programs that are not in the intalled programs list are not found easily, for example, i use Eclipse a lot, which has an "unzip installation".
If i try to launch that program the same way i launch every other program, i got some issues :
- first issue, the search is significantly slower
- second issue, the first results of the search are never "eclipse.exe" which i want, it is always directories and useless files,
- third issue, as the match "eclipse.exe" is considered a file and not a program, the quick launch with enter doesn't work, i have to select it first
so finally, instead of typing "ecl" then [enter] to launch Eclipse, i have to type "eclipse.exe" then wait until the search ends, then press [down] then press [enter].
I understand that my problem can simply be a missing feature of windows 7, but if there is a way to fix this i would love to hear how to do it.
P.S. : Sorry for eventual mistakes, english isn't my native language.
