Programming Help - Please!

Hey Guys,

I'm trying to create a personal website for my new born daughter. I have a few ideas/thoughts in mind on how I want it to act and function. I already purchased the domain name & beginning to work on a few stuff. I need some programming help making the site "e-mail access only", meaning when someone goes on the home page, in order to get into the site they must enter an e-mail address + password that I'll provide to them.

Any help on how to setup something like this? The main focus of the site is to have a central location where our family can connect, share pictures, videos etc, as well as keep them secured.

Any help on this project would be greatly appreciated!

Computers 101, weigh the benefit, and don't reinvent the wheel.

It sounds like you are basically looking to reinvent what you can get for free in order to use a specific domain name.

Look at some web hosting services and see what they have available, and if one has available built in functions that do the job use them as your hosting company.

Or just use Facebook or another social networking site with the ability to keep things private, although then you don't get a custom URL.
