Solved Prompted for Password Numberous Times

I have been using Outlook 2003 for my email client. Lately it has started prompting me for a password many times. I have searched the internet for solutions and have only found the problem stated many times over a lot of years, but no solutions. Sometimes the prompting is only every hour or sometimes it is several times a minute. I decided to download a different client, eM Client, it resembles Outlook, but it too does this also. I am thinking the problem might be tied to Win 7. Have any of you run across this problem? Thanks,

I just had the problem with my email client. It has happened to me many times. It is usually due to the email provider. Wait a day or two and it will probably clear up. Mine always does.

This is usually a provider issue, Outlook tries to connect but is timed out before the ID and password are checked. Outlook (as most email clients) reads this time out as "credentials not valid" so it asks credentials again, this time emptying the saved password box.
