Proton VPN no longer working on Windows 7

So this time it is intentional.
Need as much people to write to Proton and urge them to not disable the application in Windows 7.
I do not even understand the logic. BECAUSE we are using Windows 7 we require the little extra security.
Has anyone found a workaround or an alternative for the meantime?
I was seriously about to buy a subscription too.

What happens when you try to run it anyway?
Did you see an official statment from them claiming it purposely not working on Win7?

If so, I would try an earlier version instead.


BECAUSE we are using Windows 7 we require the little extra security.

VPNs rarely provide any extra security, in fact, they can be privacy problems.

And it's normal that developers (of whatever software you can imagine) don't want to support older platforms over time. It's only a matter of time that it happens.
