PS3 ? or stick with PC ?

Outside of exclusive titles, what difference does it make PS3 or X360? But the OP wasn't asking for a console opinion, he was asking whether it was worth getting a particular console or sticking with his PC.

PS3 isn't even backwards compatible any longer, and they run hot. Screw that, stick with the PC or grab a new XBOX 360

I purposefully bought the 60gb for backwards compatibility built in but apart from crash bandicoot nothing else from my PS2 games seemed good enough anymore, so backwards compatibility isn't a selling point in my book

Hey man ps3 is good for one thing,blu ray ,but pc is the gaming machine man!mouse control high res graphics and cheaper games.why would you wanna spend £45 on a game man ,when on pc it be bout £25 !?

its not supposed to be a selling point, it is just there for those who want to play PS2 games

I'm not so sure about that; if my 360 and Wii didn't have backwards compatibility with the original Xbox and Gamecube respectively, I don't think I would have bought them as readily as I did. It certainly was a selling point for me. To this day, I still play more of my Gamecube and original Xbox titles than I do the 360 and Wii titles. Damn, I now feel old again.
