PSU Connector help

Hi, I have purchased a OCZ Stealth Xtream 500W PSU (model: OCZ500SXS2), I have also choosen a motherboard (Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H 890GX Socket AM3 HDMI DVI VGA.. | Ebuyer.com) but this motherboard has a 8 pin CPU power connector and on this PSU I only see a 4 pin CPU power connector (P3):? I need to know if I purchase this motherboard will it be able to work with the PSU and power up an AMD Phenom II X6 1075T 3GHz Socket AM3 125W 9MB Cache.. | Ebuyer.com
Also read on a website:

"You can plug a 4 pin 12V cable into an 8 pin motherboard and it will sometimes work properly but other times it won't work at all or will burn/melt the connector."

Well according to the specs and pictures from newegg....it clearly shows it's a 4 pin connection on the mobo. See highlighted insert.

My mistake......power to mobo...not cpu fan.....I need to reed more clearly or wear my glasses....

Thanks for the reply, I will purchase a StarTech.com 4 Pin to 8 Pin EPS Power with LP4 Cable Adapter - Power adapter - 4 pin ATX12V (F) - 4 PIN internal power, power 8 pin EPS12V (M) - 15.2 cm: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories and connect it to the motherboard. Thanks again.

Send the PSU back if possible. I would consider a larger capacity for expansion and stability as well go with modular to keep cable management under control. Major complaint with this is no 8 pin and short cables. My thinking is 500 leaves little growth potential and possible unstable operation. I learned this with a 600w and now have 1050w I would suggest Corsair or Thermaltake in a minimum 700w and be done with it. The PSU is the underpinning of your system and not an area I would go cheap.
