I have a Toshiba media center ir remote, logitech wireless keyboard, two logitech mice(MX anywhere, and M515) and a Rii non bluetooth wireless keyboard. When I first set the computer up I had no problems waking from sleep(S3/S4 hybrid) with the ir remote. I could put it in, and take it out of sleep. with the remote.

Also, I could get it to resume from sleep with all of the devices mentioned above. I'm not sure what has changed, but now none of these devices will wake the computer from sleep. I have to manually do it via the power button on the tower.

I have checked, and rechecked my power settings, and under device manager I have made sure the devices are checked as to being allow to wake the computer from sleep. Also, I have disabled selective usb suspend as I read that might cause the issue. But nothing worked. Last, the IR receiver blinks red when it "reads"(or receives) a signal from the remote, and when I try to power on with the remote it does blink as if it is receiving the signal from the remote. But it just won't resume. I have tried everything I can think of, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, it's not an issue of being able to resume, I want to make that clear. I can resume, but only from the power button. It's just any user inputs that gives me issues.

That's all I can remember off the top of my head, but I can get the actual brands and model #'s if needed. I don't think I have forgotten anything, but I will update if I remember anything I'm missing.

I see that no one responded to this problem, so I will give a possible solution. Use Hard Reset to Resolve Hardware and Software Issues (it works for all computers, not just HP Pavilions) can sometimes resolve these problems. Let us know if it works.

Also, any other suggestions from other experts in this forum would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks writh. I just want to confirm a few things before I go though with this. By hard resetting I shouldn't lose my DRM content, should I? It doesn't appear as if i should lose anything from the sounds of it, but I just want to clarify. Thanks again.

No, a hard reset will not affect the current Windows setup or BIOS settings. It will just reset the connections with the BIOS.
