Hi. I have a problem with the quadraphonic sound in my computer. I've installed Windows 7 RC and the realtek HD audio drivers just yesterday, and when I configure the quadraphonic sound in the Realtek audio manager it seems to work fine. In the tests, the four speakers sound clear, but when I play music on the Windows Media Player or Winamp, or any program or game, it just doesn't recognize the two rear speakers. Please, tell me if there is any other info you need to give me a hand.
Thank you all.

Thanks. I marked the "speaker fill" and installed the plugin and started to work. Strangely, the sound it's quite diferent from the results that I've expirenced in WinXP. The rear speakers play the treble sounds and in with a very weird echo, just as if it would be played underwater. Nevertheless, when I adjust both speakers (front and rear), the sound seems more complete than before.
Thanks again for the help.

OK, so all you need to do is simple, you need just to ask somebody who understand the work of computer components, eg. ME :D :D :D
So, for older sound card, sound emulation on surround speakers from stereo sound source is not good enough. On realtek HD sound card all you need is Realtek HD Audio Manager.
So when you put the cable in to your sound port the pop-up will ask you what you have connected, or if you have disabled the pop-up, you can put the two cables(for Quadraphonic sound systems, 3 for 5.1) and in the audio manager on the left side, you'll have port configuration, and those port who're connected will be more visible. With double click on the port you can set what speaker you have connected, if you want the same sound on the front and rear speakers set them both as Front speakers. (you don't need to enable quadraphonic, as I have read you want same sound in front and in back, so if you have enabled surround, disable speaker Fill for better sound quality.) I have use 3 different 2 channels audio amplifier for party, and have connected all like front speakers because, I was needed only stereo sound, but if you watch a movie or some surround sound on this configuration you'll have only stereo
I hope that is what you have wanted ;)

Hey theMacedon:D,
I used to do the same thing as u suggested on my earlier intel motherboard, but I had to get it changed:cry:,
Now I have some motherboard named jetway or something like that, but in this I can use the same old driver, so what my point is, I think the sound card is similar on both those two mb's.
But in the new mb I just can't double click the ports to assign the same front output.......
Help Me I tried to use the "SRS Audio Labs' Dolby plugin" to use the 4.0 to get the same playback on the all four speakers but only the front speakers play it well, rear ones sound like some underwater sound effect.
I even tried to use the Y cord/ splitter but all I get the reduced output and a drastic decrease in the bass (The mid and high frequencies play, um...OK but not as I need them to play).
I just want you to suggest me something that can get the effect of the "Double click to assign"

Hey
I'm not quite sure that you still have the same sound card on your new MB, but even if you have the same chip, the problem with some of the integrated cards is that they can be customized by MB's manufacturer and it can have some more or less function, try with some programs like Aida, Everest or some like that to see if you still have the same version of realtek SC. If your new sound card doesn't support hardware mixing you still can find some software mixers but it will be not the same quality, so my advice check the model of your card and if it doesn't support buy some PCI sound card
Greetings
