You can also add mac address filtering on your linksys. That way only the pc''s with the mac addresses you enter can use the network

Your best tool is you. Stay away from the "badlands" and you should be fine.

I know alot of you would give me good opinions im just trying to keep my things and familly stuff info between the two or lappy we have if we choose to use either or

For strong passwords you should use at least 6 leters, numbers, and special characters (#$%^&*).

No matter what you do if someone (ie law enforcement) has the time and the tools they can crack you, so dont leave anything on your pc that you wouldnt want mom to see.

Im just wondering if i needed something more then what im useing pretty much you summed it up

Thanks alot Zigzag I apreciate the time you took to read my post

But out of curiosity should i try windows security essentials or would the WEBROOT spysweeper with Anti Virus be enough ,they also have a web security program

Info would be apreciated also like Zigzag mentioned im not doing major things i just don't want some random person jumping on my connection and my passwords are pretty strong

I have a secure mac adress by the way sorry i didnt mention this before
