Question about system image restore

I have a Kingston SV300 SSD, and I've bought a Samsung EVO 850. I also have a Windows system image. Question is, if I use that system image on the new samsung ssd, it will carry leftover drivers from the kingston one? Or it's better to make a clean install?

Welcome.

An system image is just that, an exact copy of the system. What is contained on the Kingston SSD will be put on the new SSD.
I have used a image of my system to go to a new drive but sometimes it may be better to start fresh. I base it on how well my system is running.

In principle I see no problems especially if you have a bit of installed software. I'd certainly go down this path if it was me because I have a heap of installed, licensed software.

However, the Kingston appears to be 128 GB and the Samsung 120GB???
If correct, the Windows system image will probably not restore because of the size difference (doesn't matter the actual size of the image itself). Windows system images will only restore to drives equal or greater than the size of the drive the image was made from. System images using say Macrium Reflect wouldn't have a problem.

Nope, my actual kingston have 60 GB, the new samsung 256. My concern is like, there are any software related drivers from this Kingston SSD to conflict with the new Samsung one? No leftover "junk" on my system?

I don't see where there would be any conflicts. Restore the image to the Samsung. Then check the alignment. It should be OK but I am not sure how Windows imaging handles that. Macrium would preserve the alignment (assuming your Kingston is properly aligned).

my alignment is ok, 1024KB/101MB. So won't be any leftover for the kingston ssd? I'm kinda obssesed with "clean systems" so yeah...
