Question about the windows 7 student deal

Referring to this one here, the 65 dollar windows 7 pro deal:

Students get Windows 7 for $64.95

It says the installation file is sent to you in the form of a digital download. Exactly what file format is this sent in? I'm wondering if it's an exe file, or an iso file. An iso file would be nice so I could use =General%20Tips]this tutorial here and install it on a totally new computer build (there will be no prior OS on this machine, so I can't just open up the email and download it like that!). If it's not an ISO file, is there any similar way to get the file they send me on a USB drive or a disc so I can install it on the new build?

It says on the page for an extra 13 bucks I can order the physical disc. This is just like the normal retail disc that you buy in the store, correct? If it is, I'll probably just wind up doing that.

Do you know if you will use the 32 or 64 bit versions? Many times the student d/l will be one version only. If you buy it retail, it will have both versions.

As they said, if it is exactly as the retail version, then no it does not matter as it will contain both to fit your needs which is 64 bit.

If you order 32bit you get 32bit DVD only.

If you order 64bit you get 64bit DVD only.

Alright, I'm at the checkout screen, and it tells me it's now Windows 7 Professional UPGRADE. I take this to mean you need some sort of prior windows OS on your computer to install, and you wouldn't be able to install this on a brand new, just built PC. Am I correct?

Do you have any XP or Vista laying around, or a retail copy on another machine you can stop using for the purpose of satisfying the EULA to stop using the prior qualifying OS?

You don't have to have the qualifying OS installed, but can use a workaround. But you do need to have one on hand to qualify under the EULA, which is enforced on the honor system.

No, I don't have any XP or vista copies lying around, nor do I want to do anything particularly illegal. I suppose I'll just order the OEM version of Home Premium from newegg now... thanks everyone.
