Question on mounting new SSD

I just bought a Samsung 860 EVO SSD for my PC. Currently it's just sitting on top of the old HDD that I replaced it with (the older drive is not connected to the PC). I wanted to have it mounted more securely so I bought this SSD drive enclosure.

My question is - is it all right to have this SSD mounted in a metal frame/enclosure? This may be a boneheaded question, but I was just wondering.

If you enclose any drive it will result in less cooling, more heat, now although it's not as critical with SSD than it is with conventional drives any heat is bad for electronics.

Because of this i would only use an enclosure for external devices, and for internal, if I cannot find a suitable mounting point for screw mounting, My main case has a number of four hole sets for SSD mounting at the side of the Drive cage, I would use Velcro or Even double sided tape to secure the drive

I see no issue with the drive bay converter you have purchased

I use similar adapters for the SSDs in my computer and they work just fine.
