Solved Questions about my new harddrive

You'll only see one C. The old one will prestomatically become D or E or F.

I succesfully cloned my old hdd to the new hdd, how do I change it's drive letter now? I tried to change my current C: to A: but it returned with the error The Parameter is Incorrect.

I've never done it, but I'd try:

Shut down and disconnect the old C and reboot. The new drive should then show up as C. If it won't boot, the clone failed.

If it does boot then shut down again and reconnect the old C. Reboot again.

You may have to then go into Disk Management and give the old C a new drive letter.

"A" won't work as a drive letter. I think it is reserved for floppy drives.

Thanks! I would give you another rep if I could. I had to run Startup Repair to fix the bootmgr is missing error though. But it works! Solved!

What tool did you use to clone? Cloning is rarely done on this forum---most people use an image or reinstall everything.

Anything tricky or remarkable about the process?

I used Macrium Reflect Free version, cloned my C: to my new HDD, removed old HDD as you said, I set the Master HDD to my new HDD in BIOS, changed Boot priority from old hdd to new hdd, got an BOOTMGR IS MISSING error, ran startup repair, fixed it.
