I don't know after reading those reviews for the mobo people seem awful butthurt about some strange things.
Mostly they go on about usb3 several of them actually claimed to have my board and said it didn't work right either. I have to wonder if these people are the same guys that rate a case one star and bash it because one screw hole didn't align perfectly with their strange customizations...

You always have to remember with stuff people are far more likely to complain than to offer positive feedback. That being said I've dealt with ASROCK support twice and have no idea what they are talking about there either.

All the newer chipsets support both sli and crossfire.
That particular board actually supports quad sli/crossfire

I think I might go with the

as opposed to the

It's only $10 more and seems to have better features.

As far as I know, there is no reason to get a "K" processor if you have no overclocking intentions.

Maybe you have overclocking intentions, I don't know.

From what I have read, the 2500K may overclock to a higher level than the 3570K, but on the other hand the 3570K does a little more work per clock cycle than the 2500K, so it likely doesn't much matter.

And how high any given processor will overclock is a bit of a crapshoot anyway--so I'd probably stick with the 3570K.

Personal preference is for pro.
Home is perfectly acceptable on a home gaming box though.

I'll probably go that route since it will save me $100 that I can spend elsewhere. Besides, that's the one I'm used to.

They differ in features only---not speed or performance.

Here is what Professional has that is not available in Home Premium:

Domain join, Remote Desktop host, location aware printing, EFS, Mobility Center, Presentation Mode, Offline Folders, Group Policy (GP) controls, advanced backup, XP Mode, support for 192 GB of RAM, and support for 2 CPU sockets.

If you don't know what that stuff is, you aren't likely to need it.

$100 will buy a good SSD.

I will say this, and it may seem a bit odd coming from a computer nut such as myself, but ONLY get a bluray burner if you are 100% sure you will actually be BURNING blurays.
As I know of no one that actually does. There is little point when everything can be moved around completely using digital means now.

I'm only saying this because those burners screw up a lot more often than the readers.
A reader + a dvd rw is actually rather cheap.
Flip side full double layer bluray blanks...
well you might as well just buy whatever it is retail...

Yup very useless everyone i know still use regular DVD to record also for that extra hundred just buy a water loop and after market radiator fans you plan to over clock air simpley will not cut the mustard

personaly you can get the sameburner for a little less don't let it being 24.99 vs 17.99 fool you it is the same drive

Most people prefer corsair h80 or 100 but this works about the same or better
